- History of 10 Market Street -

The light-coloured building above (No.10 in 1867, No. 12 in 1872) was used by George Brigden's tailoring business between 1840 and 1880.

Charles Brigden, the photographer, was listed at 10 Market Street, Brighton, in J. Harrod & Co.'s Postal & Commercial Directory of Brighton (1867).

During the renovations of Number Ten, an interesting price list was found for the salon, Hair By Michael, which was home to 10 Market Street for over 20 years dating back to the 1980’s.
